Renters Rights Act Update

Big news for Pinewood landlords: your tenancy is now fully compliant with the Renters' Rights Act 2025
If you're a landlord on our Managed or Rent Collection service, here's something worth knowing, we've already taken care of everything.
From 1 May 2026, the Renters' Rights Act 2025 came into force, bringing the biggest shake-up to the private rented sector in a generation. Fixed-term Assured Shorthold Tenancies are gone. Every tenancy in England is now an Assured Periodic Tenancy, rolling on a monthly basis.
Rather than wait for landlords to chase us, we got ahead of it.
What we've done on your behalf
Every single tenancy across our Managed and Rent Collection portfolios has been formally converted to an Assured Periodic Tenancy. We've rewritten all tenancy documentation to reflect the new legislation, and every tenant has been issued the official Renters' Rights Act 2025 Information Sheet, a legal requirement that must be provided to all existing and new tenants.
That means you're compliant. Right now. No chasing, no paperwork, no stress.
Why this matters
Landlords who haven't updated their tenancy agreements or issued the Information Sheet are already on the wrong side of the law. Non-compliance can affect your ability to recover possession through the courts, so getting this right isn't optional — it's essential.
You're in safe hands
This is exactly what full management and rent collection should look like. Proactive, not reactive. If you have any questions about what these changes mean for your property, get in touch with your property manager, we're here to help.
