Clay Cross Investment

Clay Cross is an accessible destination close to Chesterfield, the M1 and surrounding area. The once mining town has a growing population – 8,500 residents and over 32,000 people within a 10 minute drive. In November 2021 the UK Government confirmed that Clay Cross has been successful in its bid to the Towns Fund. Part of the UK Government’s Levelling Up priorities – Clay Cross investment approved at over 24m. Great news for residents of Clay Cross, exciting times for first time buyers, those looking to move or investors.

Bailey Square

One of the key focuses of the bid – to increase the local economy through a new development and entertainment hub. The development of heritage building and former Victorian Sunday School plus the creation of 16 new business units will form Baileys Square. This new addition to Clay Cross will complement the town centre with additional food/beverage and leisure businesses.

As of now Baileys Square is progressing nicely – dry weather has meant the steelwork is taking shape. All the piling works (ground strengthening) is complete, noise disruption is now minimal. Baileys Square will be a  fantastic event space where you can dine, drink and relax with family and friends.
