LOCAL AMENITIES IN CLAY CROSS

Conveniently located in Clay Cross are large national branded supermarkets including Tesco, Aldi and Iceland. There are also an abundance of well known and independent cafes and restaurants with the likes of McDonalds and Costa Coffee. 

Serving the community is a leisure centre with two swimming pools. The leisure centre offers several classes suitable for all, from Tiny Tumblers and Junior Gymnastics to Yoga and Spin classes.

Excitingly, the area has been backed by government funding which will result in more opportunities and the area thriving more than before.

LEISURE AND ACTIVITIES

Take a stroll around the stunning, recently transformed Kenning Park, located close to the high street. The park has a pond that is home to local wildlife and promotes habitat enrichment and biodiversity in the area.

Clay Cross benefits from a variety of places to eat and drink with many located on the high street with more scattered around town. The Six Halts is a popular pub serving a large menu and traditional Sunday roasts.

TRANSPORT LINKS

Clay Cross is a great area for commuters, it has the A61 running straight through the area, creating quick and easy access to Chesterfield and Derby. Also, Junction 29 of the M1 motorway is only 4.5 miles away which connects London to Leeds.

For going out of the area by public transport, Chesterfield Train Station is only 6 miles away and has lines going to Sheffield, Nottingham, Leeds, London St Pancras and more.
